what kind of tattoo would symbolize the art of stained glass?

i've been thinking of getting a tattoo, and a good rule of thumb i've been told to follow while choosing a tattoo for you, would be to get something that is special and meaningful to you. since i work with stained glass, i was hoping of getting a tattoo symbolizing my art. does anyone have any suggestions?

i once had plans to get some stained glass roses tattooed on my forearm as part of one of my sleeves. i went into the local Tiffany store and was totally wowed by them. now, the plans have changed, but i still think it would make for an amazing tattoo.

  4. Why don't you design something that will actually look like stained glass? That could be very beautiful and definitely original!

  7. Uhm. I think if you choose a tatoo that is segmented and colorful that should be a good representation but i dont think you should get a literal piece of a stained glass on your body. Also, please please make sure you do your research and are sure of your decision. Ive seen too much regret over tatoos.

  9. Well, you could get a tatoo with a double meaning.
    Like, pick some image, and then have it tattood (??) on you stained glass style. Like, really colorfull little sharp pieces. Or, you could choose some stained class thing you really love and have it done on you, the size you want. But not straight eges- like, as if it's unfinished. That would be pretty cool (;

    Good luck!

  11. stained glass is a beutiful artform and your idea to have a tattoo representing it is great , for you , it has meaning and represents what you do and who you are surf the net for image examples of tattooed stained glass , its tuff and finding good referance is time consuming, but i have a client right now that has his whole right arm depicting everything from noahs ark, to st Micheal, to Jesus and mary holding the baby jesus , he wants stained glass to backround the entire arm, ive been workin at it for a while its gonna be tuff to cross the brige between a photo of SG to an illistration of it on living canvas , but dont give up hope, if you cant find anything maybe ill get lucky and come up with something nice that you can use as a baseic idea of what you wanna do ,ive been at it for a couple weeks, sooner or later ill get it right
