How can I tell the difference between a good piece of stained glass art and a shoddy piece?

First check for smoothness in the foil or lead soldering. It should not have sharp or rough places. There should be no spaces between the glass & the solder. Hanger rings should be on seam line joinings, for strength. And there should be no (mushyness) in the piece. If large it should be at least out-side bound with leading or zinc to keep it from sagging later. Hope this helps you all out!
If you like it and it doesn't fall apart in your hands, it's good. If you don't like it, then it's bad.
